* Covid Precautions *

Class size will be limited to 5 clients per class, until further notification. Our reformers have been repositioned and well spaced, ensuring we are able to abide by safe social distancing recommendations. We will be checking your temperature with a contactless thermometer as you enter the studio. We suggest that if you have the means to do so, also monitor your temperature at home on a regular basis. Please do not come to class if you have any symptom suggestive of Covid-19 or have been in close contact with someone you know to have Covid-19. Your membership will be automatically extended during the time you self-quarantine. We are adjusting our class times and operating on a very minimal schedule as we ease back into things. Classes will be spaced to allow sufficient time for disinfectant to be effective. This allows us to sanitize the studio in between sessions, and prevents you from having to share a small space as people are coming and going. We hope to condense this going forward, but we’d like to be as conservative as possible to begin with. You will now find any necessary equipment you might need for Pilates classes stored underneath your carriage. For now, we will no longer be making spring adjustments for you, or passing handles or foot-loops to you during workouts. Additionally, there will be no manual/tactile adjustments for now. Instructors will wear a mask throughout Pilates classes.

We are asking a few things of you, as well: Please make every attempt to arrive at least 5 minutes before class. If you arrive immediately after someone else, please wait outside until they are able to make their way to their machine. If you find that you’ve arrived at the same time as two or more people, please line up outside the studio, observing safe social distancing measures, or wait in your car. Please wash your hands before AND after your session, following the 20 second guidelines. Additionally, we will have hand sanitizer readily available at the front desk for you. After you’ve washed your hands, we ask that you go to your reformer as opposed to congregating near the cubbies. Also please keep your belongings either under or next to your reformer during class. For classes in the Yoga/Barre room, we ask that you leave your belongings out of the way against the wall. Additionally, as much as possible, please minimize the amount of personal items you bring into the studio. We do ask that you cover your mouth and nose with a mask, scarf, article of clothing or towel anytime you are not on the reformer. This provides additional protection in the event that you are not able to remain 6’ from others (when you are walking between machines in order to enter or leave the studio or use the bathroom, for instance). Face masks during exercise are encouraged but not required. If you need to change clothing before class, please wait for the bathroom at your reformer as opposed to waiting in front of the bathroom door. At the end of class, please thoroughly wipe down your carriage, the area where your belongings are stored and any equipment used. Please ensure that you wipe everything that you touched – including foot-straps, springs, weights and equipment and bins. Please note that after you leave the studio, your instructor will again re-disinfect all machines with a commercial grade disinfectant. The cleaner we will be using is EPA approved to kill SARS-CoV-2. We will then allow this to thoroughly dry before another class can begin. Door handles and other high touch surfaces will also be disinfected. Don’t forget to wash your hands again before you leave!

And for those of you who would like additional peace of mind, you can purchase various supplies through the links below:

  • Reformer mat:
  • Hand loops:
  • Foot loops:
  • Hand/Foot loop combo: NOTE: We have not tried these. They would likely be fine but as a substitute for foot loops, they may cause discomfort with the hand loop across the top of the foot.
  • Red Ball:
  • Pilates ring: purchase through Alyson directly at studio. Rings are $25.

If you find other options or have any questions about what you are purchasing, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will be happy to provide you with guidance. Again, these are NOT required purchases but are offered to those of you wanting additional peace of mind. We realize this list seems extensive, and potentially overwhelming, but we promise it will feel like second nature within a couple weeks. We place great importance in keeping everyone who enters our Studio as safe as possible, and feel confident that these measures will do just that. Can’t wait to have you all back. Stay fit, stay safe, and we can all “stay together.”
